Event Manager and Wedding Planner, Sue had all the right ingredients to pull off a perfect wedding when it came to her own nuptials on 29 March 2008.
120 guests celebrated the union of Sue and Andrew at an intimate ceremony at Middlebrook Estate, McLaren Vale, where they exchanged vows that reflected their love and commitment to each other.
Harpist, Merrilyn Greer, played as guests arrived.
The bride wore an elegant ivory chiffon gown with the bodice encrusted with crystals. The groom wore a classic black suit with silver tie and matching waistcoat.
Guests came from interstate and overseas including Sue’s long time friend from the UK with her two young daughters who were beautiful flower girls in pink. Sue’s brother also flew in from California.
The bridesmaids and mother of the bride arrived in a white stretch Cadillac followed by the bride and father of the bride in a black Rolls Royce.
English roses were the theme of the day and complimented the beautiful rotunda and rose garden at Middlebrook.
To make sure even the smallest of her guests were happy, Sue hired Count Von Dazzel - a magician, to keep the children entertained whilst the adults enjoyed their dinner in Claudio’s Restaurant. Guests were captivated by a Powerpoint presentation played during the bridal waltz showing pictures of the bride and groom’s adventures, holidays and fun.
The couple will honeymoon at Port Douglas and Cairns.
Sue’s advice to future brides:
“Book a wedding planner so that you can relax and enjoy your day with your guests! Take time to spend some precious moments with your partner during the day and stand back, watch and savour it all as the day will go in a flash.”
