Like the great design houses of Paris and New York, you'll find Shane McConnell in an intimate warehouse, away from the prying eyes and the busy street front.  Gowns are hung on giant industrial hangers, which you can explore at your leisure, with McConnell as your tour guide into the opulent world of bridal couture.

Shane McConnell has always been a trailblazer, being the first bridal designer to use strong colour, showing Australia how resplendent a bride could look in candy pink, delicate lilac and deep greens.

"I'm very particular about individual attention, and making a dress reflect who a woman is"  says McConnell.

He describes his style as classical, but with a modern edge, and goes to painstaking lengths to ensure perfection in each and every garment.

"How good a woman looks is my responsibility, because that's my reputation they're wearing" he says.  What makes McConnell a unique bridal couturier is his talent for understanding the psychology behind a woman's desires. 

It's the very reason this designer likes brides to feel at home in his studio space.  At the door, you'll be greeted by Oscar, a well-dressed Maltese-Shizu, who is as charming as his master.  So relax,  and enjoy the experience, because being a bride should be a joy!
